Day 1: Intro & Basics
Basic principles of dental implantation, patient assessment and case selection radiography.
Day 2: Cases Discussion
Candidates will study and review each patient case for the coming days, any complexities or doubts can be clarified with the professor. Pre-clinical setup and procedure will be explained. Tutorial for a specific implant system.
Day 3: Implant Placement Day I Group A
Implant placements for delegates assigned to Group A, the other students may observe.
Day 4: Implant Placement Day II Group B
Implant placements for delegates assigned to Group B, the other students may observe.
Day 5 & 6: Remaining Implant Placements + Social
A group tour to see the valley of the kings and other historic monuments, a last supper with teachers and students where we may debreif and discuss learning outcomes. Provision of supplementary booklets, ongoing support in the UK and equipment catalogue
What is the structure of the course?
The course is divided into two main sections: Days 1 & 2: Theoretical sessions with case presentations, treatment plans, and discussions on materials, techniques, and procedures. Days 3 to 6: Clinical sessions where candidates will place implants in groups, observe procedures, and participate in debriefs.
